Having served most recently as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), Chacko brought with him to HHC a strong commitment to teaching and learning that has been an invaluable asset in preparing for ICAP’s launch. His positions with Lawndale Christian Health Center (Staff Physician and Service Line Leader of HIV Services) and Erie Family Health Center (Lending Hands for Life Provider) also demonstrate his dedication to serving Chicago’s most vulnerable patient populations. He earned both his BS (in Medical Engineering with a concentration in Computer Applications) and his MD at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He was awarded a post-MD Fellowship in HIV Primary Care from the Southern California/Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center and completed his Residency in Family Medicine at Greater Lawrence Family Medicine in Massachusetts. Chacko speaks conversational Spanish and has a basic understanding of Malayalam.
