Jamie joined Heartland Health Centers in 2014. As director of community health centers, she provides clinical and administrative oversight at our six community clinics, facilitating sustainable and efficient workflows, promoting team-based care and patient-centered health, and implementing clinical protocols and procedures. She also serves on organization-wide committees including staff engagement, primary care medical home, and panel management. Previously Jamie worked at Vecinos, Inc., a free clinic offering primary and preventative care services to seasonal and migrant farmworkers and their families in four counties in western North Carolina. Before that she worked at a private family practice in rural Appalachia and at Community Concepts, where she assisted mentally and developmentally disabled residents with daily life activities. She earned her Physician Assistant degree at Emory University in 2008.
