Dr. Michelle Phan is a board-certified pediatrician. She received her MD at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2016 and completed her pediatrics residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 2019. Previously she helped start an in-clinic food pantry to address food insecurity during her residency, and prior to that, researched malnutrition in HIV-infected children in South Africa. She has global health experiences in Vietnam, Honduras, South Africa, the Indian Health Services, and Malawi.
Dr. Phan joined Heartland Health Centers in 2019. She is passionate about working with underserved communities, addressing social determinants of health, improving health care delivery, and supporting diversity in medicine. For her young patients, she is dedicated to providing evidence- based, culturally-sensitive, and most of all, compassionate care.
Dr. Phan sees children from birth to 21 and speaks conversational Vietnamese.
