Jay Mayefsky, MD, MPH

Jay Mayefsky is a pediatrician who is board certified in General and Emergency Pediatrics. He graduated from Northwestern University Medical School and completed a pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Subsequently, he was a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow in Academic General Pediatrics at the University of Rochester, where he also earned a Master’s Degree in Public Health.

Prior to joining Tapestry 360 Health, Dr. Mayefsky practiced at Stroger (Cook County) Hospital for many years. He is currently a Professor of Pediatrics and Family and Preventive Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, and is a member of the faculties of UIC School of Nursing, Rush Medical College, and Malcolm X City College. Jay is the author of several scholarly articles and medical textbook chapters. His professional interests are serving the underserved and preventive medicine.
