Jamie Ellingwood is a Physician Assistant board-certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA). As Vice President of Clinical Operations, she leads our clinical staff to improve patient care and quality outcomes, serves as a liaison to operations staff, and oversees our population health department. She earned her Physician Assistant degree at Emory University in 2008.
Previously Jamie worked at Vecinos, Inc., a free clinic offering primary and preventative care services to seasonal and migrant farmworkers and their families in four counties in western North Carolina. Additionally, she worked at a private family practice in rural Appalachia and at Community Concepts, where she assisted mentally and developmentally disabled residents with daily life activities.
Jamie joined Heartland Health Centers in 2014. Her professional interests include women’s health and diabetes education.
